At Legacy Line Labradors, the health and longevity of our dogs is a top priority.

We are committed to responsible breeding practices that prioritize the well-being of every dog in our program and the future of the Labrador Retriever breed.

Health Testing Standards

All breeding dogs are health tested in accordance with Labrador Retriever breed standards.
Any required testing in progress will be completed prior to future breeding.

This includes evaluations such as:

• Hips and elbows through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA)
• Eye examinations (CAER certification)
• Cardiac evaluations
• DNA testing for breed-specific conditions

All required testing will be completed and carefully reviewed as part of our long-term breeding program.

Purposeful Breeding

Our breeding decisions are made with careful consideration and long-term goals in mind.

We thoughtfully pair dogs based on:

• Temperament
• Pedigree
• Structure and conformation
• Genetic compatibility
