Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. We do not accept deposits until an application has been reviewed and approved.

This ensures our puppies are placed in the best possible homes.

  • Our upcoming litters are expected to include Yellow, Chocolate, and Black Labrador Retrievers.

Final colors will depend on the pairing.

  • We are located in Illinois. Visits are available to approved families by appointment.

  • We are building our program with a strong focus on health, temperament, and structure.

Health testing is being completed in accordance with OFA recommendations as our program develops.

  • Limited AKC registration means the puppy is being sold as a companion (pet home). While the puppy is purebred and eligible for AKC registration, any offspring produced will not be eligible for AKC registration.

Full AKC registration may be offered to select homes at the breeder’s discretion. This allows the dog to be part of a responsible breeding program, provided all health testing, temperament, and breeding standards are met.

At Legacy Line Labradors, our priority is preserving the integrity, health, and quality of the Labrador Retriever. For this reason, most puppies are placed on limited registration unless otherwise agreed upon.

  • A deposit is required to reserve a puppy once your application has been reviewed and approved.

We do not accept deposits prior to application approval, as our priority is placing each puppy in the best possible home. Deposits are non-transferable but may be applied to a future litter at the breeder’s discretion.
